SESEC provides products, services and information that help industry, especially entrepreneurs, to solve problems or capitalize on opportunities related to producing, delivering and using alternative energy technologies. More specifically, SESEC:

• Performs contract research, development and demonstration projects (both field and laboratory).
• Provides technical services in areas related to alternative energy and environment.
• Commercializes new energy-related technology, directly and through startup ventures.
• Implements technology development programs for the alternative technology industry and other clients, including local, state and federal government.
• Provides education and training on technical and business topics related to alternative energy and environment.

In addition, SESEC plans, manages and aggregates funding for collaborative R&D programs of interest to individual companies, consortia, and government agencies that choose to invest with SESEC.
